General Services Administration (GSA) Remote Workers by State, as of June 2024

The map below shows the number of GSA remote workers (as of June 2024) by the state in which their alternative worksite was located.

At the time, GSA had 6,513 remote workers located in 50 states and Washington, D.C. Remote workers made up 49.6 percent of GSA’s workforce.

In January 2025, the President directed that all executive agencies require employees work in-person at agency offices, with certain exceptions. As a result, the information in this map may not reflect the current number or location of remote workers at GSA.
