Effects of Federal Activities on State Water Availability, Management, and Use

Part V: Interstate Compacts and International Treaties

Questions in this section ask about interstate compacts and international treaties and the effects they have on your state's ability to manage its water supplies. For purposes of this questionnaire, an interstate compact or international treaty is an agreement to distribute water among multiple parties (such as states) that has been ratified by the U.S. Congress or issued by a federal court.
