Management Information System

	To get a sense of how YO program data are maintained, this section asks questions about your management information system (MIS). In order to provide more accurate responses, please feel free to consult with others who may be familiar with any of the MIS issues presented in this section.

38.	One method for maintaining consistent information between data sources is to check the sources against each other. In many YO programs, participant information is initially recorded in one source (either a paper or electronic file) and then later entered electronically into the MIS. A check would be made by comparing the information in the initial source (either a paper or electronic file) to the data in the MIS to make sure it matches.
