The questions in this section ask about grant funds and technical assistance your state education agency
may have received from the U.S. Department of Education, as well as Department-provided or sponsored non-financial
resources that your agency may have used to improve teacher quality since 2002. In order to complete
the questions in this section, it may be necessary for you to consult with your agencys federal program
coordinator.
Questions 57 and 58 in this section ask about coordinating bodies. Just as a reminder, these are bodies that are formally established to coordinate statewide PK-16/20 education initiatives and reforms. The coordinating body refers the lead agency or entity that serves a facilitating function among those agencies and individuals participating on PK-16/20 education initiatives and reforms. Examples of such coordinating bodies include what are commonly referred to as PK-16/20 councils, though some states refer to them differently (commission, roundtable, committee, initiative, etc.). Coordinating bodies may also include state agencies or boards with consolidated authority over all public education in the state and essentially perform the same function as a PK-16/20 council. |
