Grace shipping invoices, 3,432 tons of vermiculite ore from the Libby mine were shipped to this site between June and July 1980. EPA could not find any information about European Vermiculite Corporation. EPA found that Southern Stevedoring Company, a freight handling company that loads and unloads shipped freight, operated at this site. EPA concluded that Southern Stevedoring was possibly a transport contact for European Vermiculite. EPA contacted officials from Southern Stevedoring by telephone but these officials were unable to locate any information on European Vermiculite. EPA determined no further action was needed. |
