9 | 4820 East 50th Street, Los Angeles, California | Agricultural | 44 | Yes-May 10, 2000 | No | According to an EPA database compiled from W.R. Grace shipping invoices, 44 tons of vermiculite ore from the Libby mine were shipped to this site between April 1967 and November 1969. When EPA visited the site, Germain’s Seed Company was no longer operating there, and another company occupied the site. EPA found that the site was paved and concluded that if any vermiculite was present in the soil, it would be encapsulated by the pavement and unlikely to pose a threat. EPA determined no further action was needed. |
