Grace shipping invoices, 0.2 tons of vermiculite ore from the Libby mine were shipped to this site in November 1983. Also, Certainteed Products appeared on a list of W.R. Grace licensees and industry partners. EPA found that this site was a warehouse where Certainteed Corporation leased space for storage. EPA concluded that any vermiculite ore received would have been in bags. EPA considers vermiculite received in bags to be more contained, thus resulting in less asbestos exposure than if it is received in bulk. On the basis of this information, EPA decided no further action was necessary. |
