Grace shipping invoices, this site received 57,760 tons of Libby ore between January 1966 and December 1988. Furthermore, a 1985 U.S. Geological Survey report indicated that this facility was a vermiculite exfoliation plant. EPA collected two soil samples at this site on December 5, 2000; one sample contained less than 1 percent asbestos and the other sample did not contain detectable levels of asbestos as analyzed using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM). EPA decided no further action was needed. |
