F. IAEA's Role in the Convention

According to the Convention, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) serves as the secretariat for the meetings of contracting parties. As secretariat, IAEA (1) convenes, prepares, and services the meetings; (2) transmits information received or prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Convention; and (3) provides other services--budget permitting--as requested by contracting parties.
