Short Description | Provides adaptive housing assistance grants to eligible individuals who have certain service-connected disabilities to construct an adapted home or modify an existing home to accommodate their disabilities. The SAH grant program provides financial assistance to service members and veterans who are entitled to compensation for permanent and total service-connected disability due to the loss of use of multiple limbs, blindness and limb loss, or a severe burn injury. Grants may be used to construct a house or remodel an existing home, or they may be applied against the unpaid principal mortgage balance of a specially adapted house. |
