Short Description Responsible for monitoring appraiser requirements established by the states, monitoring requirements established by the federal financial institutions regulators for appraisal standards, monitoring and reviewing the activities of the Appraisal Foundation (a private not-for-profit corporation that sets criteria for appraisals and appraisers), and maintaining a national registry of state-licensed and state-certified appraisers who may perform appraisals in connection with federally related transactions.

Fiscal Year 2010 Obligations Obligations for the Subcommittee in fiscal year 2010 were $4 million; some amount of obligations may be attributable to activities related to housing.
