Provides grants for studies to improve HUD and the public’s knowledge of lead-based paint hazards and other housing-related health and safety hazards, and to improve or develop new hazard assessment and control methods, with a focus on key residential health and safety hazards. Support contracts also promote and assist with the enforcement of HUD’s Lead Disclosure Rule and monitoring of implementation of HUD’s Lead Safe Housing Rule. |
